Final Memory

When the leaves fall,
 when the colors are gone,
 my memories will still burn.

 Burnt in my mind,
the last day I saw your face,
 the tubes; the destruction

Not the memories I want to cherish,
so I attempt to place them elsewhere,
behind a black wall.

This wall hold many things back,
 wrongdoings, hurt, pain, sadness,
yet not strong enough to hold this, my final memory of you.

I speak to myself in the dark now,
Afraid of being alone in this without you,
I miss you, I love you, I am lost without you here.

This season is drawing to an end,
and you are no longer to be found,
in this world at least...

The leaves will fall, just as the colors will fade,
but my saddest and final memory of you, this image I cant escape,
will still burn.
