And the Devil came to me
in a dream.
Said, "The world is not what it
seems."
"Oh dreadful evil serpent,
whatever do you mean?"
"It's dying quick and soon
He'll come.
You know His name,
the Holy One.
So pick your side and
pick it well,
pick it wrong and
you're mine in Hell."
"You know what I picked,"
said I,
when the dream began to fade.
As I opened my eyes,
I soon realized,
A magnificent trumpet was played.

This is really good. Very well written. I love how you have sort of a conflict within the poem. The choice to be good or bad. Its crazy to think about, what if it is true? Which side would you choose...
Thank you very much. And it makes me feel good that you saw the conflict within. Because I designed it to leave it up to the reader to decide whether or not "I" picked good or evil.
To be honest, I believe it is true. There just has to be a bigger scheme than just some pointless world that's going down the crapper that exploded out of nothing. Whether or not it is one God or not is a personal choice. But we do know this fact: There is good in this world, and there is evil. Also, we know from science that nothing can be created from NOTHING. There is always a source for any physical material or element. Anyways, to answer your question is a hard thing to do. Because on the one hand obviously I would choose to be good. But some of the things I do and say prove otherwise because of who I just naturally am. I'd choose good but I am not sure if I am good enough or if anyone truly is. We cannot be our own judge as far as that is concerned......
I'll quit rambling now. Lol. Thanks again brotha. :D
