Thought of the flowers on their grave
Or how their loved one gets to stay

Very good for your first poem Sammy! I love the title and the first stanza.
This is a wonderful poem. I enjoyed reading it very much so. I see some good potential to follow in your mum's footsteps.
dark but visual with alittle bit ofhopefullness. people die but they never leave your head.
